In its 35th year, The Nutcracker is set in a small German town in 1835 to the music of Pytor Ilyich Tchaikovsky with choreography by celebrated Artistic Director Todd Eric Allen.
Performances will be held at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center on November 21st at 7:30 pm, November 22nd at 7:30 pm, and November 23rd at 2:30 pm.

Co-composed by American Chris Brubeck and Frenchman Guillaume Saint-James, this piece brings together two continents and the world of jazz and symphonic music.

A joint commission by the Orchestra of Bretagne, the French Ministry of Culture, Sinfonia Gulf Coast and the Oakland East Bay Symphony, the piece features jazz band with orchestra, melding the musical ideas of two countries to commemorate the 70th anniversary of D-Day.

The Co-Commission and U.S. Premiere of Brothers in Arts: 70 Years of Liberty, was generously underwritten by a grant to Sinfonia Gulf Coast, Demetrius Fuller, Music & Artistic Director, from the Dugas Family Foundation.
